Can Your Design Pass Michael's Test?
Michael Feathers suggests an interesting test of a system's design. In my opinion, this pragmatic definition of quality is the kind that counts. As the IT industry begins to recover from the correction, I think we are going to see that Michael is right: The bar is higher, the survivors are stronger. Quality has been linked to practicality, and mediocrity in the name of "the real world" is going the way of online coffin sales.

Bill, I couldn't agree more! (Before I found this post tonight I had already blogged a similar thought about Michael's article: http://cgi.bramwell.plus.com/krblog/2004/06/design_for_test_1.html)
